G1000 NXi Diagnostic Log: an eleven part briefing read as a cockpit readout

A briefing on the Garmin G1000 NXi, written across eleven parts and presented the way the panel itself would present it, as a terminal readout advanced one data block at a time. It runs from the Red X protocol through system redundancy and synthetic vision, the air data and inertial sensors, calibration and ground procedures, standby flight instrumentation, maintenance in a tropical climate, and what a software load means for return to service.

Setting it in the panel's own typography is the argument rather than the decoration. A glass cockpit is a hard design brief. It has to stay legible in direct sunlight and at night, it cannot lean on colour alone to carry meaning, and every line of it is fixed in a layout with no room to move. Reading about the display under the display's own constraints makes those constraints obvious in a way a slide with bullet points does not.

What it does

Built in 2026 as an interface experiment and a study aid. It is not connected to an aircraft, and it carries no live or operational data.
